Peony Wedding

I made this cake for my Aunt's wedding. Her favorite flower is a peony and wanted a cake that reflected that. It is a three tiered amaretto cake, covered with amaretto buttercream frosting. The flower is made out of gumpaste which I formed into petals and then hand-painted with purple icing color.

Groom's Tire

This was made as a groom's cake for someone who works with racecars. Before each Sprint race he drives around the track and yells "Get ready for hot laps!" The cake is four layers of chocolate cake with raspberry filling in between each layer. It is covered in chocolate buttercream frosting and black fondant.
