Snowwoman

This is the cake I made for my aunt's birthday. Her birthday is a few days away from Christmas, so I decided to make a snowwoman of her. The inside is decadent chocolate cake with fresh rasberries aand chocolate icing filling in the middle. It has a layer of cream cheese icing underneath white fondant. The decorations are all fondant except for her hair (black decorating icing) and arms (pretzels).

Barbie Cake

I made this Barbie cake for my bible study leader for her birthday.  She always wanted a Barbie cake as a kid and since her birthday fell on a Wednesday (which is when we meet for bible study) I decided to make her one. It was a chocolate dome cake covered in pink fondant decorated with white cream cheese icing. Her top is made out of pink fondant and white cream cheese icing. I made the rose out of pink gum paste and the bow on the back of her dress out of white fondant.

Football Cakes

I actually made two if these football cakes within about two weeks of each other; one for Girl Talk and one for the Coram Deo Academy football players. The bottom layer was chocolate, covered in green cream cheese icing and white cream cheese icing yard lines. The top layer was yellow cake, covered with chocolate icing and decorated with white fondant. The goal posts were made out of straws. On the side of one it said "Girl Talk!" and the other said 'Go Lions!"

My Dad's Birthday

This is the cake I made for my Dad for his birthday. It is carrot cake covered in yellow cream cheese icing. The dots are cut out of different colored fondant ovals and I formed the bow out of white fondant. The icing on the white fondant covered cake board says "Happy Birthday Daddy!"

Upelkuchen

Also for my 15th birthday party I made upelkuchen which is the name of the cake that makes Alice grow. It is yellow cake, covered in white fondant and decorated with white cream cheese icing and black decorating icing.

My Birthday Cake

My 15th birthday party was Alice in Wonderland themed and so I made my own cake. This was the first cake I made after going through the 3 Wilton cake decorating courses at Michaels. The teacup and ribbon aren't edible, but everything else is and made by me. The bottom was a square chocolate layer, covered with yellow fondant and with all four card suits(one on each side). The bottom and middle layers are separated by about 25 gum paste roses painted with red icing color (also made by me). The middle was a circular strawberry layer, covered with white fondant, wrapped with a black and red ribbon, and above the ribbon chocolate letters surround the cake saying "A Very Merry Unbirthday". The top was a topsy turvy bubble yellow layer, covered with blue fondant and darker blue fondant keyholes. Coming out of the teacup is a color flow 15, two daisies, and a pocket watch I made out of fondant and wrote on with icing color and a toothpick.
